- Litter Clean-Up: Hunt for litter on the playground, ballfield, along the fences, in bushes, etc. A trashy treasure hunt all throughout the park! Plastic grocery bags will be provided. Bring gloves and trash pokers or pickers. A great activity for families with young children!
- Adopt-a-Spot Clean-Up: Rake, trim & weed the two flower beds located at the Andrews Avenue entrance. Bring loppers, shears, rakes, hoes, gloves, etc. Lawn & leaf bags will be provided. Any adult who helps clean up the Andrews Avenue Adopt-a-Spot will be entered into a raffle for an Earth-friendly prize!
- "Help the Earth" young activist stations at the tables under the pavilion! Visit stations, created by neighborhood kids in grades K-12, featuring Earth Day-related activities, information, and more! (Do you have a young activist interested in participating? See more information below!)
CALLING ALL YOUNG EARTH ACTIVISTS!
This year, as part of our Earth Day celebration at Kauffman Park, kids in grades K- 12, are invited to create and set up "Help the Earth" stations at the tables under the pavilion! These Earth Day focused stations could include:
