Once you check out the Kauffman Park Master Plan it's likely you'll get just as excited as we are. You might even ask, "When will all this happen?" Our response? "That's up to you!" Get involved and/or make a donation today to make these ideas become a reality!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
  • Attend a meeting! They're open to the public and we encourage you to jump in! Time, date & location of our next meeting is noted on our homepage.
  • Upcoming events could always use a hand. 
  • We could use help identifying and writing grants. If you or someone you know has experience in this area, we would LOVE to hear from you!
  • We need area residents who would like to see Kauffman Park flourish to contact their Ward representative and/or attend City Council meetings to voice their interest. 
Our new fitness trail is fantastic and the park is seeing a definite increase in use. The next infrastructure-related improvement the City of Lakewood has planned is replacing the southern set of bleachers with hillside seating in 2017.  We're working on getting some natural play elements added in the near future as well. However, larger improvements, such as water play or a new playground, will take more than what the City can provide alone. We've got some serious collaboration, citizen involvement, grant-seeking and private fundraising to do. Small donations add up over time - let's see what we can accomplish!
