HOW MUCH DOES IT COST AND HOW DO I RESERVE IT?
One question often asked of Kauffman Park Friends is, "Can I reserve the pavilion for my kid's birthday party?" It's no surprise, because this park is packed with amenities and perfect for families with young children to gather and play together. The pavilion at Kaufman Park is free to use, but cannot be rented or reserved. It’s available on a first-come, first-served basis. The one exception: nonprofit organizations can pay/apply for a permit to use the park for free community events. You can call the Lakewood Police Department at (216) 529-6781 to see if a nonprofit has pulled an event permit for the date you’re interested in using the pavilion. Kauffman Park Friends typically reserves the park for two events each summer: Tot Fest and Bike Fest. We try to post the date/time for each event on our website and social media as soon as our permits are approved.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I INVITE?
There are six 6-foot picnic tables under the pavilion. We've seen up to 30 or so people gather comfortably with one table reserved for food. For larger groups, the City of Lakewood has an online pavilion reservation system for different structures at Lakewood Park.
